- RUBY PORTS -
Ruby Port is young, full-bodied Port, blended in the style of individual port producers. It is aged for two or three years in
large vats to keep oxidation to a minimum. The wine retains its bright red colour and full-bodied fruitiness.
Premium Rubys are of better quality and aged in wood for four to six years

It is a blend of our choicest "lots" of deep red wood aged ports of four to six years lovingly tended by winemaker Paulo Coutinho and master blender Jeremy Bull together with other "lots" of very fine older ports. The result is a highly distinctive round fruity elegant after dinner Port of great complexity.

Romariz Fine Ruby
Right after harvest the young Port which display deep colour, intense fruit and full palate, are selected to age slowly in large wooden vats, where a complex Port with fresh fruit characters develops.
It should be drunk soon after being bottled, as its quality does not improve in the bottle.
It is a very pleasant dessert wine, it goes particularly well with some cheese or a chocolate dessert.
